Self-Guided Walking Tours

Visitors are welcome to take one of our four self-guided tours.

The Early Years Tour – view map

Walk through the first years of the Sewickley Cemetery, established in 1860. Visit the gravesite of the early cemetery incorporators, see the site of the first interment and the oldest headstone (dated 1810). Read full description.

Visit the site of some of the more than 100 civil war veterans buried here including one confederate. Visit the Statue of Fame and original marble Fame sculpted in 1866. Read full description.

We hope you enjoy your visit to our beautiful cemetery, but please keep in mind that we are an active cemetery, and the privacy and comfort of the friends and families of the deceased is paramount. Personal photography using simple hand held equipment is allowed but be respectful of the families and landscape by adhering to our general rules and regulations.

Photography for any non-personal use (including professional, academic and non-commercial uses) does require written permission.  Please submit an application at least two week s in advance.  Requests are approved on a case-by-case basis.
